Energy engineering for architects
CTE compliance and energy certification integrated into the design
We resolve DB-HE compliance alongside the building fabric and services, from design stage through to the completed building.

We support architecture practices with the applicable CTE DB-HE checks and energy performance certificates, keeping the calculations connected to the design decisions that produce the result.
We help define the next step
With the objective, location, stage and available information, we can advise you and prepare a clear scope.
What we resolve
- Check HE 0 and HE 1 from the first decisions on fabric, use and building services.
- Coordinate HE 4 and the other applicable energy requirements without introducing solutions that conflict with the architecture.
- Prepare project, completed-building or existing-building energy certification where required.
What we deliver
- HE 0 and HE 1 calculations and compliance documentation.
- HE 4 and other applicable DB-HE section checks.
- Coordinated criteria for fabric, HVAC, lighting, renewables and EV charging.
- Project, completed-building or existing-building energy performance certificate, according to the appointment.
What we need to start
- Model or drawings, construction build-ups, use and intervention scope.
- Available HVAC, lighting and renewable-generation data for each stage.
How we work
A clear process from first information to delivery
- 01
Review use, intervention scope, geometry, fabric and proposed services.
- 02
Check the applicable requirements and coordinate adjustments with the architect.
- 03
Prepare calculations, compliance documents and certification for the appointed stage.
Applications
Projects and teams this service can support
Architects
We can join from feasibility and concept design through detailed design, quantities, legalisation and construction support. Our proposal identifies disciplines, milestones, formats and responsibilities.
02Developers
We provide engineering where an early decision can prevent costly change and where documentation must keep pace with the completed asset.
03Hotels
Bedrooms, common areas, kitchens, pools and technical zones need different criteria and careful coordination with operation and construction phases.
04Homes and villas
HVAC, hot-water production, electricity and photovoltaic decisions affect space, cost, comfort and maintenance in residential projects.
05Industrial buildings
An industrial building is not defined by structure alone. Use, process, services, fire safety, power and future expansion must be coordinated from the outset.
You may also need
Services that complete the project
Air conditioning and HVAC
The project coordinates thermal demand, ventilation, indoor air quality, generation and distribution with architecture, electricity and controls.
02Electrical installations
The electrical solution starts from expected loads, distribution, protection and coordination with other services.
03Photovoltaics
We size and integrate photovoltaic installations from consumption, available area and the building's electrical and construction conditions.
FAQ
Preguntas frecuentes
Which CTE DB-HE sections can you cover?
We work on HE 0, HE 1 and HE 4 and coordinate any other applicable sections —HE 2, HE 3, HE 5 or HE 6— according to use, intervention type and project scope. We confirm the requirements before calculations begin.
Do you prepare energy performance certificates?
Yes. We prepare project, completed-building and existing-building certificates where required, using the information and checks applicable to each case. Submission or registration is defined in our proposal according to the autonomous community and agreed scope.
Can you work as part of an architecture practice's team?
Yes. We receive the model or drawings at the available stage, return traceable criteria and results, and coordinate changes so energy compliance fits the rest of the project.
